About this release.
Stickers were printed with a peel-off backing, and many were sold to fill a collector’s album, so a lot of surviving copies were stuck down at some point.
This page lists 1 cataloged sticker from the 1965 Bergmann Fussball Bundesliga release: Franz Beckenbauer. None carries a rookie label yet. The full release has more stickers than this partial checklist.
Check whether the backing paper is intact, because an unused sticker and one that was stuck down and lifted are different objects to a collector. Stickers are thin and crease easily, so look closely at the corners and surface.
Keep the release identity intact.
Year, set name and format define this group. A parallel, insert, reprint, regional release or sticker can require a separate identity even when the player and number match. Review the entry notes and original source before treating a copy as a checklist match.
